The recent cold front really has put a hold on fishing for a few days, however there was a window this past week where Captain Braden Powell was able to get on the water with a couple local clients from Charleston, SC and they had a great morning fly fishing for Redfish near Kiawah Island.   The low tide was around 8 am and we went to the first spot and saw all the Redfish tailing and belly crawling looking for bait fish to eat.  Seeing Redfish tailing in the shallows around the low tide is one of the best opportunities for fly fishing in the saltwater around Charleston.

The sight fishing in and around Charleston, SC will continue to be very good in the comings weeks and into February.  We will have great opportunities at catching Redfish on the fly and also light tackle spin gear in clear, shallow water around Kiawah Island, Folly Beach and downtown Charleston, SC.
